Some Fact
West Champaran is a part of Champaran (including East Champaran and west Champaran) from where Mahatma Gandhi started his SATYAGRAH movement. It is the Land of famous Poet and writer Gopal Singh Nepali. The district is also known for native of famous cine actor Manoj Bajpeyi and director Prakash Jha. The only Tiger Reserve in Bihar, Valmiki Tiger Reserve, is situated at northern border. Valmiki Asharam, Nardevi Temple, Jatashankar Temple and Gandak Barage at Valmiki Nagar, Ashok Stup at Lauria, Chanki Garh (Related to Chanakya) near Ramnagar, Durgabagh Mandir, Kalibagh Temple at Bettiah are the famous places for visit.
